It’s only been a few months since the Coalition to Preserve L.A. kicked off its campaign to place the Neighborhood Integrity Initiative on the March 2017 ballot and already our citywide, grassroots movement has been changing Los Angeles for the better — and we have a slideshow and video to prove it!

The Coalition to Preserve L.A. and the Neighborhood Integrity Initiative have empowered citizens and put deep-pocketed developers and City Hall politicians on notice by:

City Hall is feeling the heat. So much so, Mayor Eric Garcetti met with the Coalition and more than 20 neighborhood activists in August to discuss the reform of L.A.’s broken planning and land-use system.

We’ve also forced the L.A. media to cover the numerous, important issues surrounding City Hall-approved overdevelopment, gained support from such notable film actors/activists as Kirsten Dunst and Chris Pine and collected more than 220 campaign contributions from everyday citizens. And there are many other achievements — watch the slideshow and see.

After the slideshow, there’s a bonus video of Angelenos from across our city talking about the desperate need to reform L.A.’s broken and rigged planning and land-use system. Let’s keep it up, Los Angeles!
